Good sleep habits, without the noise

Sleep advice has become an industry. The basics are short and free.

Trackers, special pillows, supplements, apps. There is a lot for sale around sleep, and it is easy to forget how short the official advice really is.

What the guidance says

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says people aged 18 to 60 need seven or more hours of sleep a night, and its list of habits fits on a postcard:

  • Go to bed and wake up at the same times every day.
  • Keep the bedroom quiet, calm and cool.
  • Stop using electronics at least 30 minutes before bed.
  • Avoid large meals and alcohol before bedtime, and skip caffeine in the afternoon or evening.
  • Exercise regularly and eat a healthy diet.

None of this is exciting, and that is the point. The hard part isn’t knowing the list. It is keeping to it on a Tuesday night.

Start with one

Changing everything at once rarely lasts. Pick the habit that is easiest for you, often a fixed wake-up time, and keep only that one for two weeks. Then add the next.

If poor sleep goes on for weeks, or you feel tired however long you sleep, that is a reason to see a doctor, not to buy something. That includes buying from us.

What we don’t sell

VitalRay Matrix is not a sleep product. We make no claim that it improves sleep, and it can’t replace the habits above. If it is on your bedside table, that’s because you would rather have a quiet object there than a phone: no screen, no alerts, no charger.

VitalRay Matrix is a wellness product, not a medical device. Do not use it if you have a pacemaker or any other implanted medical device: the core contains a neodymium magnet. Before your first session, read Guide and safety.
