What’s in your glass

A lot of complicated stories are sold about water. The plain facts are calmer, and enough.

We have heard a lot about water in recent years: “structured”, “living”, “energised”. Those words sell well, but there is no reliable science behind them, and we will not use them. Here is what is actually in the glass.

What tap water is

Drinking water is almost entirely water, with small amounts of dissolved minerals: calcium, magnesium, sodium, bicarbonates. Those minerals are what make one source taste different from another. According to the World Health Organization’s 2023 figures, 73% of the world’s population uses a safely managed drinking-water service, and 2.2 billion people do not. If your tap is in that 73%, there is already good water in your glass.

What really changes the taste

Three ordinary things: temperature (cool water tastes cleaner), standing time (in an open glass the smell of chlorine fades on its own) and the vessel (glass and ceramic hold no flavour; much-used plastic sometimes does). All of it is free and needs no device.

How much, and when

The European Food Safety Authority puts adequate intake at about 2 litres a day for adult women and 2.5 for men, including water from food. Most of us fall short not because we do not know this, but because water drops out of sight. A full glass on the desk is the simplest technology there is.

Where the disc fits

Many people lay the disc beside the glass or bottle, 10 to 15 minutes for a glass and 25 to 35 for a carafe, and then drink. We make no claim that the disc changes the water, neither its taste nor its composition. It stays outside the vessel; never put it in water. The point of the ritual is that water gets a place in the day, and you get a small pause beside it.

VitalRay Matrix is a wellness product, not a medical device. Do not use it if you have a pacemaker or any other implanted medical device: the core contains a neodymium magnet. Before your first session, read Guide and safety.
